With the new iPhone X series, not only has the operation changed – well-known features have also been rearranged.
Usually, on other iPhone models with a home button, the battery indicator can be optionally displayed as a percentage. To use this, the "Battery" area must be opened via the settings. Here, the user can activate or deactivate the percentage display - a useful and widely used feature. However, this option no longer exists on the iPhone X, XS, XS Max and XR - there is a lack of space there due to the notch. But that doesn't mean that the display is completely gone.
How to open the Control Center
The option to control the percentage display in the settings has been removed. Apple has simply repositioned the value on your iPhone X, XS, XS Max or XR. From now on, it is hidden in the control center. This means that a simple glance at the display is no longer enough. The control center is accessed by a simple swipe gesture from the top right corner of the display downwards - this is where the battery and signal strength symbols are located. Here you can find out more about the battery status your iPhone.
