Apple released firmware version 4A400 for AirPods 2, AirPods Pro and AirPods Max on Tuesday evening. Interesting features were added, including conversation enhancement - or Conversation Boost.
The new firmware integrates the AirPods Pro and AirPods Max into the "Find My" network for the first time. But the Pro version benefits even more thanks to the update. As has now become known, Conversation Boost has been activated with the latest update. According to Apple, the feature is intended to help people with mild hearing problems to better connect in conversations. The function uses the beamforming microphones of the AirPods Pro to increase the volume of the person speaking in front of you so that you can better understand a face-to-face conversation.
AirPods Pro: How to activate Conversation Booster
To enable the feature, the AirPods Pro must be updated to firmware version 4A400, so make sure the automatic update has been applied. To check the firmware version, follow these steps:
- Connect your AirPods Pro to your iOS device.

- Tap the “i” icon behind your AirPods Pro.
