With the AirPods Pro 2, Apple has significantly improved the charging case and integrated a U1 chip for "Precise Search" with Find My. This means that there is a speaker built into the case that emits a sound to help you locate your device.
The speaker on the AirPods Pro 2 charging case can also emit a beep when you charge the case. The beep sounds regardless of whether you connect the case to the power supply via Lightning or place it on a charging pad. If you find this annoying, you can easily turn the feature off.
AirPods Pro 2: How to activate or deactivate the charging sound on the case
- Connect your AirPods Pro 2 to your iPhone.
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap the “AirPods Pro 2” section directly below your Apple ID.
- Scroll down and flip the switch next to “Enable charging case sounds.”
That's all you have to do. Note that the setting will remain greyed out if the charging case is currently connected to the power supply. Are you looking for new accessories?
