Nomad is expanding its range of high-quality chargers for iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods with the brand new Stand One Max. This charger impresses with its elegant metal and glass design and offers official MagSafe support with wireless charging up to 15 W as well as the fast charging function for the Apple Watch. Here you can find out more about my practical experience with this device.
Last spring, Nomad introduced the Base One series of official MagSafe lay-flat single and multi chargers, followed by the Stand One. In the summer, the more affordable Base and Stand were introduced. These models retained the premium glass design, but are now MagSafe compatible (which allowed the introduction of all-black versions), thus offering a wider range of choices. Now, Nomad is presenting its latest multi charger with MagSafe and an upright design - the Stand One Max. Not only does this device rely on MagSafe, but it is also Nomad's first to offer fast charging for the Apple Watch.

Stand One Max: Nomad's latest product in hands-on
The Stand One Max maintains the signature quality and exceptional design of its predecessors, the Stand One and Base One. The charger's frame is made from two solid metal blocks that have been perfectly milled to accommodate the MagSafe charger. This solid design, combined with a glass surface, gives the Stand One Max an impressive weight of almost 900 grams, which not only indicates robustness but also ensures that it stays securely in place. Similar to the Stand One, the base of the Stand One Max also features a rubberized pad that provides additional stability.

The included 2-meter USB-C cable is made of durable braided nylon to ensure a reliable connection. The Stand One Max offers a tilt angle of about 20 degrees, which allows for comfortable use of the iPhone in various locations, be it on the nightstand, in the kitchen or on the office desk. Although this angle is a bit steeper than other chargers, where a fixed angle of about 30 degrees is common, it still serves its purpose.
Conclusion
There is one minor criticism, however. While you can rotate the iPhone to put it into standby mode, there isn't enough space to charge the Apple Watch at the same time. For those looking for a high-quality MagSafe charger for multiple devices, coupled with a compact glass and metal design, the Stand One Max from Nomad is an excellent choice. All you have to do is remove the Apple Watch from the charger to put it into standby mode. The Nomad Stand One Max is now available directly from Nomad for $180. Please note that a 30-watt power adapter is required to use the charger. (Image: Nomad)
