The accessories manufacturer Nomad introduced a range of new cases for the iPhone 13 models in September. In addition to the traditional leather cases, a completely new line was also introduced - the Nomad Sport Case series.
Shortly after the iPhone 13 launch, Nomad expanded its own range by updating the Modern Case & Modern Folio range for the iPhone 13 models. These are the classic leather products that the company has been known for for years. But in the process, a completely new sporty version was unveiled - the Nomad Sport Case. This case differs from Nomad's usual products as it has no leather and at the same time offers a new design. The case is made of a scratch-resistant PET-coated polycarbonate, grippy TPE bumpers, metal buttons and a microfiber interior. In addition, it also offers MagSafe integration and comes with the digital business card - you can find more about this below.
Nomad Sport Case for iPhone 13 series: New design, new feel
The back of the case is not made of leather but of shiny plastic in the colors black, lunar gray, dune, ash green and navy blue. Small side note: Dune is a color from the yellow color family. It is a mixture of orange and brown, see picture.

Be that as it may, the TPE bumper mentioned above covers the edges and, as the name suggests, acts as a shock absorber. There are raised edges around the camera bump and the display. This means that the iPhone is still protected in the event of a fall.

A particularly interesting feature are the volume buttons made of aluminum. They are particularly easy to grip as they are in direct contact with the buttons on the phone underneath. The case is definitely exciting due to the new and easy-to-grip design. Especially since it is something completely new for the Nomad brand. However, the case does have one small drawback - the shiny back. It is slippery, which is of course to be expected. If you use the Apple Wallet, you should avoid using it when using the case.

Who is the case suitable for?
Of course, it is held in place thanks to the magnet, but not to the same extent as with a leather or silicone case. But - you have to give the case credit for one thing - the back is much more scratch-resistant than other cases with a similar back. I actually tried it - with a key - and I have to admit, I was a little surprised. But who is the Sport Case suitable for? First and foremost for anyone who doesn't like leather cases and doesn't want silicone, but still wants to protect their iPhone as best as possible.

The product is priced at $39.95 and is therefore cheaper than Nomad's leather cases - but still offers a high level of protection and is of very good quality, as you would expect from Nomad. So if you are really interested, you can buy the cases from Nomad in the online store - but not all colors are currently available immediately. However, this should improve in the next few weeks.
By the way – Nomad fans watch out
Some of you will remember my story on Instagram and Facebook that I published at the end of September. At that time, I introduced you to the Nomad Pen. A ballpoint pen that has a casing made of stainless steel and aluminum and uses a Parker refill.

Nomad has now added the product to its range and offers it at the price for $49.99 So if you want it, you can order it now. (Image: Nomad)
