How nice would it be if you could use your WhatsApp account on multiple platforms independently of each other? According to a new report, this will soon be possible.
When it comes to new features on WhatsApp, it's always worth taking a look at the guys at WABetaInfo. According to their latest report, WhatsApp is working on a multi-platform system that allows users to access an account from multiple devices. It should soon be possible to use a WhatsApp account on multiple iOS and Android devices - without any restrictions. A standalone iPad and Mac application is also said to be in development. This means that users will be able to do without WhatsApp Web in the future and conveniently answer their messages without having a cell phone nearby.
UWP (Universal Windows Platform)
According to WABetaInfo, the system is known as UWP (Universal Windows Platform) and is already in development. Of course, all chat histories will be synchronized on the respective devices - a seamless transition from iPhone to iPad or another device should therefore be possible without any problems. In addition, WhatsApp is also working on improving its end-to-end encryption system for the new multi-device system. When the so-called UWP (Universal Windows Platform) will be released remains unknown for the time being - an introduction of the new WhatsApp system could take place this year.
