Apple seems to have further plans in the Apple TV+ area. A new Bloomberg According to reports, the company is considering expanding its streaming offering with podcasts. These are said to be related to TV+ content. The news channel writes:
Apple Inc. is discussing creating original podcasts related to programs on its Apple TV+ video streaming service, another sign of the tech giant's growing ambitions in entertainment, according to people familiar with the plans.
Apple sent out a request for pitches last summer, asking podcast producers to pitch ideas for audio programs with some connection to its shows, one of the participants said. Since then, the company has been discussing podcasts with producers of its original series, according to two of the people, who asked not to be identified because the plans are not final.

At the end of 2019, Apple hired the former podcast director of National Geographic. This was already seen as an indication of the new plans. If the report is true, Apple's strategy could include hiring existing Apple TV+ content to promote podcasts and to further bind viewers. Accordingly, not only TV but also audio content would be available. Since Apple's idea is not yet finalized, there is no indication of a launch date.
