A leaker now claims that Apple will introduce some new iPad models in October.
The rumors surrounding Apple's fall events are in full swing, with the iPad lineup garnering some of the attention. A leaker claimedthat the 10th generation iPad and iPad Pro will undergo some changes during this period. In a Naver post by the leaker account "yeux1122", a source from China claims that there could be an event in October where new iPads are expected. While it's not necessarily an October event, the informant says it would be an additional event after the iPhone 14 launch. The new 10th generation iPad, according to the leak, will feature a thinner new design with a squarer shape and flat bezels to unify the design aesthetic across the entire iPad lineup.
iPad Pro with M2 chip to also be released
It is also said to have a larger display than the previous 10.2-inch display, although the exact size was not disclosed. In addition, the model is said to be equipped with an A14 Bionic chip, support 5G, have a protruding camera bump on the back and lose the 3.5 mm headphone jack. At the same time as updating the entry-level iPad, Apple will reportedly also update the iPad Pro. However, the informant only says that the chip in the premium tablet series will be updated from M1 to M2. While the latest statements are promising, they bring relatively little new to the existing rumors about the tablet series. It remains to be seen whether the source will be right in the end.
