Apple will host the "Spring Loaded" event tomorrow evening and present new products. The focus will be on new iPad models. But Wedbush analysts also expect "a few surprises".
Apple plans to introduce a new entry-level iPad, iPad mini and iPad Pro at the Spring Loaded event. This is what Wedbush analysts Daniel Ives and Strecker Backe claim. According to them, the main focus will be on new iPad models. The 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro will apparently receive "significant changes", including the A14X chip and a "groundbreaking" MiniLED display for the 12.9-inch model, which enables better color performance, dimming functions and higher contrast. While the entry-level iPad and iPad mini will have "consistent prices" compared to the current models, the iPad Pro models will apparently receive "modest price increases" compared to the current versions. But the analysts expect "a few surprises" in addition to new iPad models.
“Spring Loaded” event: Statements about AirPods 3 remain confusing
Accordingly, Apple new iMac models with a range of color options and a new Apple Pencil. Analysts also believe that Apple will finally officially present the AirTags. But that's not all. The third generation of AirPods is also expected to be teased at the event. However, these are not expected to be released immediately but will be presented at a later event. Early summer is mentioned as a possible date - preferably Apple's WWDC 2021 keynote in June. The statement sounds a bit confusing. Why would Apple tease the new plugs but only fully present them later? The claim also contradicts previous statements. While analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, among others, believes that the AirPods 3 will be released in the second half of the year, some leakers claim that the market launch will take place shortly. So the topic remains confusing.
