Apple is poised to increase its orders for VCSEL chips for ToF-based LiDAR scanners used in the just-released iPhone 12 Pro due to strong demand for the model, especially in the U.S., sources at Taiwan-based supply chain manufacturers say.
New design, 5G support and more
While the two 6.1-inch devices are already available, the iPhone 12 mini and Pro Max will not be available until November. Pre-orders will be accepted from November 6th.
