This time we look at the price predictions for Apple's upcoming iPhone 15 Pro models. One analyst has estimated that the new models will be more expensive than their predecessors, based on information from suppliers in Asia.
The iPhone 15 is about to be released, and excitement is building as analysts and experts try to find clues about the new features and prices. The Pro models could be the first to arrive, according to one analyst (via MacRumors) may carry higher price tags, but we need to take these estimates with a grain of salt. We take a look at the reasons behind the potential price increases and what this could mean for consumers.
Will the Pro models be more expensive?
Barclays analyst Tim Long believes the iPhone 15 Pro models will be more expensive than their predecessors. However, prices for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to remain similar. The price estimates are as follows:
- iPhone 15: 799 US dollars (unchanged) / 999 euros currently
- iPhone 15 Plus: 899 US dollars (unchanged) / 1,149 euros currently
- iPhone 15 Pro: up to $1,099 (from $999) / €1,299 currently
- iPhone 15 Pro Max: up to $1,299 (compared to $1,099 currently) / €1,449 currently
One possible reason for the iPhone 15 Pro Max's price increase is an improved telephoto lens with periscope technology that offers improved zoom. This feature is not expected to be available on the smaller iPhone 15 Pro and could contribute to the increased cost. That said, it's important to note that these price estimates are not always accurate and should be viewed with skepticism.
iPhone 15 series to be released in September
The iPhone 15 is expected to be unveiled in September, and the prices of the Pro models could be higher than before. This could be due to new features such as the improved telephoto lens and other upgrades. However, it remains to be seen whether this will also apply to the German market. After all, Apple has already raised prices here with the iPhone 14 models. It remains to be seen how Apple will position the new models and whether consumers are willing to pay more for the additional features. We will soon find out when Apple unveils its iPhone 15 lineup.
