According to a new report, Oprah Winfrey is planning another documentary for Apple TV+, which will be released next year, that will address sexual assault in the music industry.
At the "It's show time" event in March, Apple announced some information about TV+. The partnership with Oprah Winfrey was also discussed. At the time, the company hinted that a book club, a multi-part series on mental health, depression and anxiety, and a documentary on sexual violence were planned. The book club (Oprah's Book Club) is now available on Apple Books and Apple TV+. Now Variety claims to have learned that the documentary will premiere on Apple TV+ next year. The focus will be on sexual assault in the music industry - the name could be "Toxic Labor" - but this is not certain.
According to the report, the new documentary will be produced by filmmakers Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering. The project will deal with race, gender, class and intersectionality and will be profound - according to Variety. Apple and Oprah's joint plans remain unclear. The multi-part series announced in March is said to focus on the topic of mental health. There are even plans to collaborate with Prince Harry, who will act as co-creator and executive producer. But it may still be a while before that happens. Servant: New Apple TV+ series launched. (Image: Apple TV+)
