In a new report, well-known leaker Jon Prosser claims that Apple may use bright colors for a new MacBook, just like the new 2021 iMac.
In his latest Front Page Tech video claimed Prosser says that the same source who gave him information about the 2021 iMac color options that turned out to be true told Prosser that they saw a colored MacBook prototype in blue. The model was said to look "absolutely amazing." Prosser explains that the source did not give him a time frame or any indication of which MacBook this might refer to. Back in February, Prosser hinted that Apple was planning to announce a new iMac with a major design overhaul, complete with a new color palette. As it later turned out, Prosser was right based on his source's information.
When will Apple introduce a new MacBook Air?
According to Prosser, his source was very cryptic this time. Therefore, the leaker believes that the prototype is the next MacBook Air with an M2 chip. If the information is true, the new colorful MacBook range would be reminiscent of the PowerBook G3. Apple first started offering bright color options for the iPad with the iPad Air, which was released in October. The iMac, introduced last month, followed suit. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has already reported that a future model of the portable entry-level Mac will be equipped with a mini-LED display; however, this is unlikely to be in the near future. Currently, some sources believe that Apple will not introduce a new MacBook Air until the end of the year or early next year at the earliest. Whether they will be right remains to be seen, of course, as always. (Image: Apple)
