After Apple hosted a virtual event in September, another one could follow soon. The focus will be on new MacBook Pro models.
Last year, Apple held its Mac event for the first time in November. The company usually tends to hold Mac events in October. Although some observers suspect that Apple will hold another event, it remains to be seen whether the keynote will take place in October or even November. Now Mark Gurman has spoken out in his latest In the newsletter issue "Power On" he spoke up and took up the topic again. He claims that Apple will announce M1X-powered MacBook Pro models in the next few weeks. Based on his choice of words, however, it remains unclear whether these will be released in October or November. In the paid part of his newsletter, Gurman lists further technical details. It says:
MacBook Pro models: What will Apple actually introduce?
The Apple M1X chip, the likely name for a more graphics-intensive and professional M1 chip, is actually still planned for 2021. It will likely appear in a new line of MacBook Pros in the next few weeks and eventually in a higher-end Mac mini. The M1X was developed in two variants: both with 10 CPU cores (eight high-performance and two high-efficiency cores) and either 16 or 32 graphics cores.
Previous reports suggest that Apple could announce a redesigned Mac mini in addition to the new MacBook Pros. Last month, Apple announced the iPhone 13, the Apple Watch Series 7, a new generation of the iPad and the sixth generation of the iPad mini. In addition to new Macs, the company is rumored to also present the third generation of the AirPods this year. Whether and what we will actually see in the end remains to be seen, of course. But with us you are guaranteed not to miss any of it. (Photo by Ekaterina79 / Bigstockphoto)
