According to a new rumor, Apple plans to adapt the design of new iPad Pro models so that both the camera and the Apple logo on the back will be placed in landscape format.
The one by Dylanddkt originating Rumor has it that a future version of the iPad Pro will have an updated design that includes a horizontal camera layout instead of the current vertical camera design and a landscape Apple logo on the back. Dylanddkt can't say exactly when these design changes will be released, however. To his knowledge, Apple is working on it, but whether it will be included in the next generation iPad Pro remains an open question. In recent years, Apple has started promoting its iPad Pro as a laptop replacement, insofar as it comes with a keyboard.
iPad Pro 2022 could get a glass back
Currently, the logo on the back of the Magic Keyboard is in landscape mode. It's possible that Apple just wants to make the iPad Pro itself match the accessory. In addition, since iPadOS 15, the Apple start logo on the screen is also displayed in landscape mode. So if Apple rotates the logo on the back, it could mean that Face ID, which is currently embedded in the shorter top frame, will be moved to the longer side. This would allow Apple to highlight the landscape format of the device even better. Bloomberg has already reported that the iPad Pro 2022 will get an updated glass back that could enable wireless charging for devices like the iPhone or AirPods, as well as wireless charging for the iPad Pro itself. All in all, it should remain pretty exciting. (Photo by Elinaxx1v / Bigstockphoto)
