Apple's suppliers have begun shipping a new 27-inch iMac with a mini-LED display, according to a new paid report from DigiTimes.
The deliveries will be made in limited quantities. Further details are not known. But the report probably refers to suppliers who deliver individual components to larger manufacturers for final assembly. Mass production is therefore still pending. Rumors suggest that Apple plans to introduce a new 27-inch iMac with a miniLED display, which is due to be released in the first half of 2022.
New iMac with M1 Pro and M1 Max chip
According to analyst Ross Young, who has proven to be a reliable source for display rumors, the new 27-inch iMac will support ProMotion and enable a variable refresh rate of up to 120 Hz for smoother content. Twitter leaker @dylandkt, another reliable source, claimed that the new 27-inch iMac will have a similar design to the 24-inch iMac that was introduced in spring 2021, but with a darker color scheme. The device is said to be powered by the same M1 Pro and M1 Max chips that are already used in the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro. (Photo by Unsplash / N.Tho.Duc)
