According to recent reports, Apple is reportedly planning to launch the new MacBook Pro 16 today Evening to present – now further details have been revealed. The new Mac Pro 2019 was also mentioned.
The news channel Bloomberg has published another report on Apple's upcoming MacBook Pro 16" and Mac Pro 2019. According to the report, the new professional notebook will actually be presented this evening via press release. The channel also believes that the MacBook Pro with a 15-inch display diagonal will be completely replaced by the new model. The price will also be somewhat different than previously expected. Rumors suggested a starting price of around $2,799. According to Bloomberg, however, the new device will be in the same price segment as the current Pro model. This means that the "smallest" model could cost around $2,399. The MacBook Pro with a 16-inch display diagonal is set to come with a revised keyboard. Rumor has it that this will be a scissor mechanism that is supposed to be more reliable. The display will also be significantly brighter than that of its predecessor. Bloomberg believes that Apple is particularly keen to appeal to video and photo editors, gamers and software developers with the new device.
Mac Pro 2019 will be released in December
The news channel also claims to have learned new details about the Mac Pro 2019. Apple is planning to present the device in mid-December - writes Bloomberg. The 12th month of the year actually seems quite realistic here. As a reminder: Apple presented the Mac Pro 2013 on December 18th - the iMac Pro 2017 was introduced on December 14th. Bloomberg could therefore be right with this statement, even though Apple announced the device for "fall 2019". The brand new Mac Pro was developed for Apple's professional users, with the focus on expandability. The Mac Pro 2019 uses Xeon processors with up to 28 cores and supports up to 1.5 TB of high-performance storage. Prices for the new Mac Pro start at $6,000. A brand new screen called Pro Display XDR is also expected. The 32-inch 6K monitor has a resolution of 6016 x 3384 pixels. The display is expected to be available starting at $5,000.
