Today, rumors have already surfaced about new iMac and MacBook Air devices documentedNow there is also a new MacBook Pro available.
Bloomberg has published several reports on Apple's upcoming Mac lineup throughout the day, including the new MacBook Pro. As a reminder, last week renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo made a forecast published, according to which the new MacBook Pro models will have 14 and 16 inches. They will also have a MagSafe charging socket and will be presented without a Touch Bar. The housing design is said to offer flat edges and additional ports. Now Bloomberg has commented on this and claims that the devices will have an SD card reader. So is called it in the report:
MacBook Pro 2021: Announcement could come in the third quarter
The upcoming MacBook Pro is an example of Apple's renewed focus on Mac loyalists. The company plans to bring back an SD card slot on the next MacBook Pros so users can insert memory cards from digital cameras. This feature was removed in 2016, to the dismay of professional photographers and videographers, key segments of the MacBook Pro user base.
The current Pro models only have Thunderbolt ports, so photographers are forced to use an adapter or dock to access an SD card reader. Interestingly, Kuo said last week that most users will no longer need adapters. He didn't give any details, though. Bloomberg may have solved the mystery. If the Apple analyst is right, Apple will announce the new MacBook Pro line up in the second half of the year. Specifically, the third quarter was mentioned, so sometime between July and September. So if you're planning to buy a new Pro model but aren't in a hurry, you should definitely wait. (Photo by oasisamuel / Bigstockphoto)
