There are now plenty of rumors about a new MacBook Pro 16". But when will it be released? According to a new report, deliveries to Apple will start in the fourth quarter of 2019 and there is a specific reason for this.
The MacBook Pro 16″ will be released in autumn 2019 – at least that is what countless reports have promised – but so far fans have been waiting in vain. Although there are already two leaks in macOS Catalina, Apple is taking its time. But the first models are supposedly being delivered directly to Apple in the fourth quarter of this year. This is what the news website Digitimes has now learned. However, this does not mean that Apple will present the new professional notebook this year - the delivery has a different reason. On December 15, the US government will impose new punitive tariffs on China, which will also affect notebooks. According to this, Apple is now supposedly pursuing a plan to import as many of the new MacBook Pro models as possible before December 15 in order to keep the punitive tariffs as low as possible. This means that the company could already be filling up its warehouses with new notebooks long before a presentation.
“Overall size remains the same but it gets thinner”
The Taiwanese manufacturer Quanta Computers is considered the main supplier for the new Apple notebook, Digitimes repeated. According to the report, this is not a completely new design. Although the notebook will have a larger screen, the overall size will be similar to the current 15-inch model. However, the new device will be thinner - according to Digitimes. The platform did not give a presentation date this time. The well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo recently suggested the second or third quarter of 2020. According to him, Apple deliberately set the launch date for 2020. delay - but the reason is not known. (Photo by ApisornJr / Bigstockphot)
