Currently, various iPhone models with up to 512 GB are available. There are of course alternatives of 256 GB, 128 GB and 64 GB. But now the trend is moving towards terabytes.
Depending on the iPhone model, storage options of up to 512 GB can be selected. Devices with a whopping 1 TB are not yet available. But that is set to change. Jon Prosser recently posted a post on Twitter published, in which he writes the following:
I hope you all are ready for 1TB iPhones.
The tweet published on Wednesday suggests that the next iPhone generation could already be released with a storage variant of one TB. In this Year The smallest storage version of 64 GB was officially replaced by 128 GB. If Apple does offer one TB, this storage space will probably be reserved for the Pro series. This could then be available with 256 GB, 512 GB and one TB. Cheaper models could then also move up and get a 512 GB option, for example.
iPhone: Apple could update storage size in the next two years
But that's pure speculation for now. So, as always, you should take the whole thing with a grain of salt. But, as a reminder, this year's iPhone 12 series enables HDR video recording with Dolby Vision - Pro models support recording at up to 60 frames per second - a feature that results in large media files. Even with iCloud storage and 5G, some users will fill up their phone's 512 GB in a short time. Especially users who don't clean out their media library - I'm one of them. Of course, I have to say that the two TB of iCloud storage has been a great help so far. Be that as it may. It cannot be ruled out that Apple will revise the storage size of new iPhone devices again in the next two years. AirPods Pro on special offer at Amazon – available now. (Image: Apple)
