Apple is reportedly already in the middle of planning its first event this year. According to Mark Gurman, Apple is currently planning an event in March or April to announce a new iPhone SE model with 5G connectivity.
In the latest edition of his newsletter Power On writes Gurman said Apple will likely host a virtual event in March or April.
Apple is preparing for its first virtual event in 2022. Apple's first virtual event in 2022 is just a few months away and will likely take place in March or April. What can we expect? Probably at least a new iPhone SE. It was at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic in April 2020 that Apple introduced the current iPhone SE.
As for what we can expect at this event, Gurman writes that the focus will be on a new iPhone SE. In line with reports from sources like Ming-Chi Kuo, Gurman says that this iPhone SE will visually resemble the current iPhone SE (which is based on the iPhone 8).
Will Apple introduce new Mac products in the spring?
The changes will come in the form of internal upgrades, including a new chip and 5G connectivity for the first time. Apple is also working on its next crop of Apple Silicon Macs, including a new Mac Pro, a new MacBook Air, and more. Whether these Macs will be announced at the March/April event remains to be seen, however. Finally, Gurman speculates that Apple's second event of the year will be WWDC in June, as expected. At WWDC 2022, Apple will likely unveil iOS 16 (codename: Sydney), tvOS 16 (codename: Paris), macOS 13 (codename: Rome), and watchOS 9 (codename: Kincaid). What new features can be expected, however, is not known. (Photo by ADCstock / Bigstockphoto)
