Apple will hold its first event this year on March 8th. The company is expected to present, among other things, a new iPhone SE. Now further details have been shared via Twitter.
A Twitter account that claimed, renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, has shared six points related to the third-generation iPhone SE that may provide new insights into details of the device. The tweet reiterates information from previous rumors, claiming that the third-generation iPhone SE will have the same design as the current model, the A15 Bionic chip, and 5G connectivity. Yet there are some new details. The account claims that the iPhone SE will have a new 256GB storage option in addition to the existing 64GB and 128GB storage options, and clarifies that the iPhone SE's 5G capabilities will include both mmWave and sub-6GHz 5G connectivity, something that was previously unknown.
iPhone SE 3: Color options remain unchanged
The mention of the A15 Bionic chip also seems to dispel rumors that the next-generation iPhone SE could get the A14 Bionic instead. Additionally, the tweet confirms that the iPhone SE will still be available in white, black, and red, like the current model. Whether there will be a camera upgrade, meanwhile, remains to be seen. The tweet also adds that mass production for the new iPhone SE will start this month.
