Several suppliers in Apple's supply chain are preparing to ship the third-generation iPhone SE, which is scheduled to be released in the first half of 2022.
The Taiwanese publication DigiTimes reportedthat Apple's supply chain is preparing to deliver the iPhone SE 2022. The report states:
VCM suppliers see no decline in orders for new iPhones: Suppliers of VCM (Voice Coil Motor) and other components still see no decline in orders for the new iPhones and are preparing to ship the next generation of Apple's iPhone SE series, which is scheduled to launch in the first half of 2022.
Earlier this week, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said the new iPhone SE will feature the same 4.7-inch display and 3GB of RAM as the current model.
iPhone SE 2022 with A15 chip and 5G support
The new model is also expected to have a Touch ID home button. Kuo previously stated that key features of the new iPhone SE will include 5G support and a faster processor - likely the A15 chip already used in the iPhone 13 models and the current iPad mini. According to Taiwanese market research firm TrendForce, the new iPhone SE will launch in the first quarter of 2022. If this timeframe holds true, we can expect the device to appear in late March. Rumors suggest that the fourth generation of the iPhone SE will launch as early as 2023, with major changes, such as a larger display and 4GB of RAM. It is possible that this larger iPhone SE will have a design based on the iPhone XR. (Photo by Pierre-Olivier / Bigstockphoto)
