Well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has spoken out again and revealed further details about the upcoming iPhone 9 – also known as iPhone SE 2.
According to TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the planned launch of the new entry-level iPhone will remain unaffected despite the coronavirus. According to him, the device will be released in the first half of 2020. However, he did not name a specific month. Since Apple will reportedly hold a keynote in March, this date seems to make the most sense. In addition, Kuo explained that the iPhone 9 or iPhone SE 2 will not have a 7-element plastic lens (7P).
Powerful despite older components
This is not surprising, as Apple wants to offer the device for around $400 and will therefore save on certain components. However, the current A13 chip will still be used inside. The device will reportedly appear in the design of the iPhone 8, which is why some believe that it will enter the race under the name iPhone 9. Since this is the new entry-level device, the name iPhone SE 2 is also often used. You can find all the rumors about the new entry-level model in our summary.
