The current iPhone 12 generation was only recently introduced. But of course that is no obstacle to reports about the successor - iPhone 2021.
Reports about future iPhone models are now documented many months in advance. Now the well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has spoken out and given details about the iPhone 2021 and 2022 (via MacRumors). In his report, he provisionally calls the devices iPhone 13. However, it can be assumed that the models will be presented as iPhone 12S. But the naming plays a secondary role for now. According to Kuo, Apple will also present four devices next year. These are specifically said to be the successors to this year's smartphone series. According to his sources, there will be significant improvements in camera technology.
iPhone presentation expected in September
This means that, according to the TFI Securities analyst, the ultra-wide-angle camera of the two high-end models will be upgraded to f/1.8, 6P (six-element lens) with autofocus. He did not comment on the display itself this time. According to reports, this will receive the long-awaited ProMotion panel with 120Hz. Whether that will actually be the case, of course, remains to be seen. Kuo then explained that the iPhone 2022 models will receive the same updated camera from 2021. According to the analyst, Largan will likely be the main supplier of voice coil motors (VCM) for the improved ultra-wide-angle cameras. In addition, he expects the iPhone launch to take place again in September starting next year. Have you already discovered the early Black Friday offers on Amazon? It's worth being quick.
