This year, Apple will most likely release its first iPhone generation with 5G support - that is as certain as the amen in church. Now the well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has spoken out again.
Last week, the investment company Susquehanna announced a report published that the premium version of the iPhone could possibly debut later than expected. The reason for the delay is the development progress. According to Kuo, this is not the case. He still expects four different iPhone models in the second half of the year with 5G support, including devices with sub-6GHz and mmWave support, depending on the region. He explained that the iPhone models with mmWave will be available in five markets, including the United States, Canada, Japan, Korea and the United Kingdom.
All devices appear at the same time
In addition, Apple could completely omit 5G functionality in devices that are to be sold in countries with no or little 5G coverage. A reduction in production costs would be a side effect. Contrary to the Susquehanna report, the analyst once again emphasized that the new iPhone models will all be released at the same time. Accordingly, reports of delays should not be taken seriously - according to the analyst. (Photo by polack / Bigstockphoto)
