What will the next generation iPhone look like? Will it have a notch? Will it really have a new design? Questions upon questions - now there is a picture based on the prototype (D53).
Well-known concept designer and Apple leaker Ben Geskin has published a new photo of the alleged iPhone 12 on Twitter. The image is based on insider information and is said to show exactly the prototype (D53) - in short: the iPhone 12. See for yourself!

Geskin emphasizes that the information comes from the same source that provided leaks about iOS 13 at the beginning of the year. In his tweet, he highlights four key points. The iPhone 12 prototype (D53) has no notch and will retain its Lightning port for the time being. The mute switch will now be controlled vertically and no longer horizontally, as can be seen in the picture. In addition, the current operating system SwitchBoard (18A311) is said to be based on iOS 14.
The SwitchBoard is a graphical user interface used internally by Apple that is intended for the kernel of the actual operating system (iOS) in order to be able to test basic device functions. This is usually used in iPhone, iPad and iPod touch prototypes. Previous rumors suggested a new design. According to reports, the frame of the iPhone 12 would be reminiscent of the iPhone 4 at the time. The image could therefore confirm the statements of various sources. Since this is a prototype, the final product could of course be different - if Geskin's new information is correct. But one thing is clear - 2020 will be an exciting year!
