Rumors about an upcoming triple camera There were already enough iPhone 2019 announcements. Now the week starts with a particularly wild prediction – in addition to the expected iPhone models, two more devices are due to be released in the fall.
So far, direct successors to the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR are expected in the fall. At least the iPhone XS Max is expected to be equipped with a triple camera - the iPhone XS was not previously considered a sure candidate for the upgrade. At the same time, the iPhone XR was supposed to be given a dual camera for the first time. All wrong, says Macotakara! The Japanese tech blog, which has often been right with its own statements in the past and enjoys a high reputation, is now claiming that Apple will install the triple camera in two additional iPhone devices developed for it.
Thicker but not more innovative
The platform relies on Chinese suppliers. According to this, two more iPhone models will be released alongside the expected successors. These will also have a 6.1″ and 6.5″ OLED screen and contain the new triple camera. Both iPhone models are expected to be slightly thicker due to the new camera module – the 6.1″ model will be 0.15 mm thicker than the current iPhone XS, according to the report. The 6.5″ device will increase by around 0.4 mm. Macotakara claims that the two new models will be equipped with a USB-C to Lightning cable and an 18-watt USB-C power adapter. In addition, both iPhone devices will have the bilateral wireless charging command.
The rumor has already been received with mixed feelings – five new iPhone devices in this year's line-up would definitely be a surprise. Since Macotakara has reliable sources, the report cannot be ignored. Of course, Apple's plans can change several times by September – but it is currently considered very certain that the triple camera will be square.
