The well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo according to All four models in the iPhone 14 range will receive an improved front camera. According to his information, this will offer autofocus and have a larger ƒ/1.9 aperture. The larger aperture would allow more light to pass through the lens and reach the sensor of the front camera of the iPhone 14 models. According to Kuo, these camera upgrades could lead to an improved depth of field effect in photos and videos in portrait mode, while the autofocus can improve sharpness in FaceTime and Zoom video calls.

In comparison, the front camera on all iPhone 13 models has a fixed focus and an ƒ/2.2 aperture. Kuo has previously claimed that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will feature an improved rear camera system with a 48-megapixel wide-angle lens that will allow 8K video recording (currently it's 4K).
