According to TF Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple may raise prices for the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro models.
In a tweet explained Kuo said Foxconn will be "one of the winners" from an increase in the average selling price (ASP) of the upcoming iPhone models. The analyst expects the average selling price for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro to rise by about $15,000 to $1,050 compared to the iPhone 13 series. He said the ASP for the entire 2022 iPhone lineup will increase due to the price increases for the two iPhone 14 Pro models as well as higher shipment numbers compared to previous lines.
iPhone 14 Pro: Expectations are high
Kuo's tweet responded to Foxconn's announcement that it was increasing its annual forecast from "roughly flat" to "increasing." As a key Apple supplier, Foxconn will benefit significantly from the iPhone 14 ASP increase, according to Kuo. The current iPhone 13 Pro models start at $999 for the 6.1-inch variant and $1,099 for the 6.7-inch iPhone 13 Pro Max. Apple's iPhone 14 Pro models are expected to feature an improved A16 chipset, new punch-hole design and pill-shaped camera cutouts, an always-on display, and more. (Image: Ian Zelebo x Jon Prosser)
