A new image shared by Weibo account “UnclePanPan” and posted by DuanRui on Twitter shows an iPhone 12 Pro Max in a case allegedly designed for the upcoming iPhone 13 Pro Max, revealing the true extent of the camera module enlargement for the upcoming high-end iPhone.
Last week, dummy models of the iPhone 13 series divided, showing the newly positioned camera modules for the standard iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini. The new Image released today offers us a closer look at the camera module enlargement for the upcoming iPhone 13 Pro Max compared to the camera module on the current high-end iPhone. Schematics that surfaced a few weeks ago revealed that the upcoming iPhones will feature a thicker overall design and a larger camera bump on the iPhone 13 Pro/Max.

iPhone 13 Pro Max camera bump: Skepticism is still appropriate
The increase in size of the individual camera modules is most likely due to the new sensor-shift stabilization and the improved ultra-wide-angle capabilities. It should be noted, however, that images shared on Weibo are not always real. Today's shot should therefore be viewed with some skepticism. In addition, case manufacturers usually use data based on leaks and rumors for their first iPhone cases. This means that the image may not reflect the true size of the camera module.
