According to rumors, Apple will officially introduce the iPhone 12 series in October. While the size and features are already known, there has only been rough speculation about the name.
The iPhone 12 series will consist of four devices in three different sizes. Specifically, we can expect a 5.4-inch, two 6.1-inch and one 6.7-inch iPhone. While two of the devices will be iPhone 11 successors, two other models will be presented as Pro versions - according to the rumor mill. Now the accurate leaker @l0vetodream has spoken out and listed the specific names of the new Apple smartphones. According to this, Apple will unveil the devices as the iPhone 12 mini (5.4-inch), the iPhone 12 (6.1-inch), the iPhone 12 Pro (6.1-inch) and the iPhone 12 Pro Max (6.7-inch). Today's report documents the name Mini for the first time. Since the 5.4 device will actually have a very small case, the name would make sense. Although @l0vetodream is currently alone in making this statement, there is little reason to doubt it. His leaks have almost always proven to be correct.
iPhone 12: A14 chip, 5G support and more
It is assumed that all models will be equipped with Apple's A14 chip and support 5G. A significant change will be the packaging insert. Charging adapters and EarPods will no longer be part of the packaging. It is also expected that for the first time the cheaper models will have OLED technology. While the two cheaper devices will have a dual camera, the Pro versions will come with the well-known triple camera and a LiDAR scanner. The use of ProMotion, however, is not expected. In terms of the sales launch, the individual reports are consistent. It can therefore be assumed that two of the four models will go on sale shortly after the presentation, followed by the rest of the line-up in November. (Photo by Denys Prykhodov / Bigstockphoto)
