Rumors that Apple plans to ship the iPhone 12 this year without a power adapter and EarPods were documented two weeks ago. Now there is a new report that supports this.
There are some reports from reputable leakers and analysts that Apple plans to ship the iPhones almost without accessories from this year. This means that the power adapter and the EarPods will be omitted and only the charging cable will be included. Now the Japanese news site Nikkei Asian Review has also commented on this. Sources have learned that Apple is planning to make this saving. The rumor caused a lot of discussion. While a large number of fans agree with it and think about the environment, others do not find it particularly advantageous - but they would accept it. According to Nikkei, Apple wants to save costs and is motivated by the fact that many iPhone users have accumulated the accessories over the years. Interestingly, Apple then launched a survey related to this topic - read more here.
A virtual iPhone 12 keynote is expected
Anyone who still needs a power supply will have to purchase the corresponding product separately. A 20-watt charger is also planned for this purpose – read more here. In addition, Nikkei has also confirmed that the iPhone 12 series will consist of four models in three different sizes. Although there are said to be certain differences, all four models will have an OLED display - according to the news site. Nikkei thus supports previous statements that dealt with the equipment. There are now no longer any doubts about this. We will see in the fall at the latest whether the rumors surrounding the packaging insert are actually true. Apple is expected to present the new iPhone 12 series in September or October. It can be assumed that the devices will be unveiled via a virtual keynote.
