After a lot has already been reported about the features of the iPhone 12, there are now new details about mass production.
If you believe the Report about the new iPhone generation, it will consist of four models, including a 5.4-inch, two 6.1-inch and a 6.7-inch iPhone. However, they will not debut in September as usual, but in October at the earliest, as Apple has fallen behind in development due to the COVID-19 pandemic - this is what various independent sources claim. Now the Taiwanese news site DigiTimes received new information about the start of mass production.
Mass production in several steps?
According to the report, production of the cheaper 6.1-inch model is set to start in July or even August. That is, much later than Apple's schedule usually envisages. Mass production of the new iPhone devices usually starts in May or June. However, there were no concrete indications regarding the other iPhone 12 models. Accordingly, these could go into production at the same time or later. The report also states that the displays for the cheaper 6.1-inch model come from LG and not Samsung. It remains to be seen whether the report will be correct. Other sources may also come forward and support the latest statement. (Photo by NZPhotography / Bigstockphoto)
