Apple will be introducing the iPhone 12 series very soon. Now rumors are increasingly surfacing about production and the launch date. However, there is also bad news.
The iPhone 12 series will consist of four devices in three sizes. While two of the models will be the successors to the iPhone 11, two more devices will be the Pro version. In addition to a new design, 5G integration is also expected for the first time. Now Jon Prosser, a newcomer among the leakers, has spoken out again. According to his information, mass production is said to have started this week. The bad news - the long-awaited 120Hz ProMotion display is said to have not made it into production - allegedly.
Gurman also believes in a debut in October
He therefore assumes that Apple will not introduce the ProMotion technology until next year at the earliest. According to speculation, the battery consumption was far too high, which is why the Pursue has probably decided against it. Other sources have already put forward this theory in advance. At the same time, Prosser explains that he also does not believe that the devices will be presented at the "Time Flies" event on Tuesday. Mark Gurman, a Bloomberg journalist and Apple leaker, has already emphasized that the focus on Tuesday will be on the Apple Watch and new iPad models. The presentation of the iPhone 12 series will instead take place in October. According to Prosser, the devices will be delivered with iOS 14.1, which is why the devices cannot be delivered before mid or late October at the earliest.
iPhone 12: Will Prosser be right in the end?
If his information is correct this time, an October reveal would make much more sense. The rumor that Apple plans to deliver two of the four devices in October, followed by the rest of the lineup in November, has been persistent for months. Since Prosser was wrong with his prediction regarding the Apple Watch Series 6, his statements are currently being somewhat doubted. However, he had a solid hit rate this year, so of course his credibility has not completely evaporated. For this reason, you should remain skeptical but still listen. It is possible that his statement today is supported by other sources. AirPods Pro on special offer at Amazon – available now. (Image: svetapple.sk)
