Just a few hours before the presentation of the iPhone 11, star analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has decided to publish another report about the upcoming iPhone generation.
The well-known and accurate star analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims to have learned some details about the features and functions of the new iPhone 2019 series shortly before the Apple event. According to him, the upcoming iPhone 11 models will not receive Apple Pencil support and will keep their Lightning port for another year. However, the two Pro devices with 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch screens will be delivered with a fast charger - according to Kuo. This will have 18 watts and a USB-C input. The inexpensive entry-level device will continue to be delivered with the well-known 5-watt charger. There is also news on the subject of bilateral wireless charging. The function has often been said to be part of the new iPhone generation - Kuo recalls. But it may not appear. It was originally considered the main innovation alongside the triple camera, but it may have been omitted at the last moment. The reason for this is said to be the "charging efficiency" - this may not meet Apple's requirements - writes Kuo.
Ultra-wideband technology for all three models
The feature was actually supposed to allow accessories to be charged on the back of the iPhone 11 - a larger battery is a prerequisite for this. In addition to Kuo, Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman also believes that Apple is having difficulties implementing the function - but neither of them can make a prediction with certainty. Furthermore, the notch will once again remain unchanged - but new colors are on the way. All three iPhone models are also said to have ultra-wideband technology - the technology enables very precise location determination - especially indoors.
Finally, Kuo gave a sales forecast. He believes that Apple will see a decline of 5-10 percent in 2019 due to a "lack of innovative selling points" - so only 65-70 million units are likely to be sold. The presentation will take place this evening at 7 p.m. - we'll show you how you can follow the Apple event here. (Photo by Leszek Kobusinski / Bigstockphoto)
