When will Apple introduce the new iPad Pro generation? This question is currently being answered differently by several sources. Apple usually introduces new iPad Pro and Mac models in October - but some believe that this time there will be a new deviation.
While some continue to believe that Apple will unveil the new iPad Pro this October, other sources believe that it will be presented in spring 2020. There is an important difference. The October camp claims to have learned that Apple will equip the new iPad Pro with a triple camera, while the spring 2020 camp still insists on using a 3D camera. Just yesterday, a picture surfaced showing an unfinished prototypes of the new iPad Pro model - according to the information, the device is due to be released in October. Now a new report has surfaced that says the professional tablet will be presented in spring 2020 - and it will be equipped with a 3D camera. According to the report, the Korean website The Elec writes that the new iPad Pro with a 3D camera - based on time-of-flight technology - will be released in spring 2020 - the sensor for this will be supplied by LG Electronics - according to the paper.
A confusing guessing game
At the beginning of the year, Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman also claimed that Apple was planning to introduce an iPad Pro with a 3D camera in spring 2020 - he recently corrected his statement and wrote that the new iPad Pro series will be updated by the end of 2019. Gurman usually has excellent sources and can convince with a high hit rate. The Japanese blog Macotakara also believes in an October presentation, as does Apple leaker Sonny Dickson - both claim to have learned that the new model will be released with a triple camera, known from the iPhone 11 Pro. A pretty confusing game, isn't it? Let's put the icing on the cake - after all, star analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has already commented on the topic. The well-known TFI Securities analyst naturally also claims to have learned details about the upcoming professional tablet. According to his current information, Apple will probably present a new iPad Pro in the fourth quarter of 2019 or the first quarter of 2020 - but this should have the Time-of-Flight technology.
3D camera in the iPhone 2020
But what is true? After all, all sources so far have shown a solid hit rate - although Kuo's record is almost legendary. When the new tablet will actually be released and what camera technology it will have remains a matter of pure speculation at this point.
The Elec of course did not fail to mention the iPhone 2020 in its latest report. The website also confirms an already known rumor that the iPhone 2020 will also have a 3D camera based on the Time-of-Flight technology. It remains to be seen whether The Elec will be right – most recently they were able to confirm a rumor about the size of the iPhone 11 battery show off – perhaps they will be right once again.
