Rumors that Apple products with MiniLED technology introduce have been with us for a long time. Now the company is said to have ordered corresponding panels for both the professional notebook and the iPad. Zhen Ding Technology and Flexium Interconnect are said to be joining existing supplier Young Poong Electronics to produce MiniLED screens for new Apple products that will be released in 2021. DigiTimes explains in a new report:
The time is expected to come in early 2021
Taiwan's flexible circuit board makers Zhen Ding Technology and Flexium Interconnect have reportedly entered the supply chain of Apple's upcoming mini-LED-backlit iPad Pro and MacBook ranges. They will compete with South Korean producer Young Poong Electronics.
The Taiwanese news site According to reports, Apple will present the brand new iPad Pro in the first quarter of 2021. DigiTimes contradicts a leaker who said that Cupertino wants to present the new professional tablet with miniLEDs in the second quarter of 2021. But DigiTimes' statement is in line with earlier reports by Ming-Chi Kuo. Since Apple usually holds a March event (due to the Corona crisis, nothing came of it this year), the suspicion is at least reasonable. Kuo has already announced six devices with miniLEDs. In addition to a MacBook Pro and iPad Pro, an iPad mini and iMac Pro are also due to be released.
