In the last few days and weeks, reports about new iPad models have increased. Now there are also the first details about the iPad mini 6.
Rumour has it that Apple is working on a new version of the iPad mini, which will feature a larger display. The Japanese website Macotakara claims to have received new information from Chinese suppliers. The upcoming sixth-generation iPad mini will have an 8.4-inch display instead of 7.9-inch. It will also have slimmer edges and look similar to the iPad Air 3, a design that Apple will also use for the ninth-generation entry-level iPad, according to Macotakara.
iPad mini 6: With or without mini LEDs?
Accordingly, the device will continue to use Touch ID in a home button and have a lightning port. Regarding the launch, the Japanese Apple blog explained that this could take place at an event in March. A new edition of the iPad Pro series is also expected. Alternatively, it is also possible that the whole thing will be announced via a press release. However, it remains unclear whether the iPad mini 6 will have a normal LCD display. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously claimed that Cupertino is working on an iPad mini with miniLEDs. However, it is not known whether this already applies to the sixth generation.
