A few days ago, Apple released the first betas of the next software updates, including iOS 16.2, iPadOS 16.2 and macOS Ventura 13.1. Now a report has been published that sheds more light on Apple's software schedule.
In the latest issue of the “Power On” newsletter reported Mark Gurman that although Apple is finished with hardware releases for this year, it still has more software updates on the horizon.
The updates for iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2, which have been in beta since this week, are expected to be released in mid-December.
The next wave of updates should follow before Christmas. Gurman also notes that Apple is aiming for a release date between early February and early March for iOS 16.3 and macOS Ventura 13.3:
iOS 16.2 and Co. will be released in mid-December
I'm told Apple plans to launch the updated models - including the M2-based versions of the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros - in the first quarter of 2023, and has tied the launch to the upcoming macOS Ventura 13.3 and iOS 16.3. These software updates are expected to launch between early February and early March.
