Rumors about an Apple AR or VR headset are becoming more and more common. Now there are leaked images that show a modified controller for AR applications in combination with a headset.
The US blog 9to5mac has already discovered an app in the course of the iOS 14 analysis that goes by the name “Gobi“. According to initial findings, this serves augmented reality purposes. Now the US blog MacRumors published a report that contains leaked images that clearly show a modified controller intended for internal AR tests with "Gobi". According to the report, Apple employees within a 5-mile radius of Apple Park will be able to play bowling with it. The controller makes this possible in combination with an AR headset and the "Gobi" app.

First AR or VR headset could be introduced in 2022
In addition, MacRumors has published an image that is supposed to show the controller. At first glance, it looks similar to the HTC Vive Focus controller. According to the latest discovery, Apple seems to be developing an AR or VR headset with corresponding accessories. Apart from that, the whole thing fits with a Bloomberg report that was published a few years ago. At the time, it was claimed that Apple used HTC Vive for internal tests to develop its own prototypes based on it. According to recent reports, the company plans to present an AR or VR headset in 2022. Of course, it remains to be seen whether the product will actually be delivered with a controller.
