Now the news site is reporting on Apple's plans for iOS 14, iPadOS 14, tvOS 14, watchOS 7 and macOS 11 Big Sur. Although Apple does not want to introduce any new iPhone models, the company still plans to release iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 this month - according to Bloomberg. iOS 14: Many useful functions
The next iPhone and iPad software updates are scheduled to be released later this month, with software updates for Apple Watch, Apple TV and Mac coming in the fall.
Both iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 have been in testing since their launch at WWDC 2020 in June. The new updates introduce a redesigned home screen and app library on the iPhone, a new picture-in-picture mode, App Clips for experiencing snippets of apps without having to download the full app, and much more. For the iPad, there is a new Scribble feature that allows the Apple Pencil to work in any text field on iOS or iPadOS. Written text is automatically converted into typed text. Scribble works in Safari search, Reminders app, iMessage, and basically anywhere that accepts text input. Given the rumors that Apple wants to announce a new version of the iPad Air with a bezel-less display and Touch ID in the standby switch, the timely release of iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 would make sense.
Apple watch Series 6: Will @LOvetodream be right?
Although the Apple Watch Series 6 is expected to be released on September 15th, watchOS 7 will not be released until later. This statement is obviously puzzling - no reason was given. It could therefore be the case that the new generation of the popular smartwatch will not be able to celebrate its market launch until later.
