Apple's leaked dual USB-C charger could be coming soon, with one analyst claiming it will soon enter mass production.
An analyst claims that the unreleased charger will soon go into mass production. On Friday, a support document was published on the Apple website published and then removed again, which describes the Apple 35W Dual USB-C Power Adapter. Now TF Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has picked up on the leak and claimedthat the components for the device are “close to mass production”.
Is Apple's new charger based on GaN technology?
Kuo is optimistic about the adapter's prospects, adding that estimates for its 2022 shipments are between 2 and 3 million. It is believed that Apple has been working on GaN chargers for some time and that they could hit the market sometime in 2022. GaN (gallium nitride) power supplies are usually smaller and more power efficient than silicon-based versions. In this case, however, it is not known whether the leaked charger is actually a GaN model. When the accessory will actually be released remains open. Are you interested in the 24″ iMac?
