Apple is expected to officially unveil the Apple Watch Series 7 in September. Now a leaker claims that the next smartwatch could come in two new sizes.
The leaker known as “Uncle Pan” now claims on the Chinese social media platform Weibo that the Apple Watch Series 7 will be released in sizes 41mm and 45mm. In the translated post is it [called:
I have a vague feeling that the two models of Apple Watch Series 7 this year are 41mm and 45mm and the new and old bands are universal.
Apple has only increased the size of the Apple Watch display once, by 2mm, when it switched to an edge-to-edge display format on the Apple Watch Series 4. Apple Watch customers' demand to keep the straps universal is also a driving force in Apple's design philosophy.
New housing could lead to slightly larger display
According to this, all previous wristbands should be fully compatible this year. Uncle Pan also confirmed Jon Prosser's renderings. According to this, the design should be aligned with the iPhone 12 series and the newer iPad Pro models. Due to the new housing, it cannot be ruled out that the display will be larger overall, even if it is only by 1mm. Since Uncle Pan is known as a reliable leaker, his statements are of course taken seriously.

Apple Watch Series 7: What innovations can we expect?
Here's a quick look back. So far, various reports have suggested that the next generation of watches could get new material options, more health-focused features and 5G. There is also the possibility that the new Apple Watch will get a larger battery overall. All in all, a more extensive update is expected this year than the year before. So the whole thing should remain pretty exciting for fans. (Image: Jon Prosser x Rendersbyan)
