The well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has spoken out in a new report and made an interesting prediction. It concerns future Apple Watch and MacBook models in a brand new design. The iPad series and AirPods were also mentioned.
The report is aimed at investors and covers several topics. Kuo initially explains that demand for the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max is significantly higher than Apple itself expected. However, demand for the iPhone 12 and 12 mini is weaker. The analyst then goes on to predict an interesting second half of 2021. According to him, the Apple Watch Series 7 and new MacBook models are expected to receive a case with a new form factor. The new Apple Watch will also have innovative health management features. However, he did not provide any specific details.
iPad Pro & AirPods forecast
Regarding the iPad business, Kuo stated that demand for the new iPad Air is strong. He points out that the iPad product range will remain compelling in 2021 thanks to the implementation of mini-LED displays and 5G cellular connections. Regarding the AirPods, Kuo had less positive news to report. Current sales are said to be lower than expected. He reiterated an earlier statement that AirPods 3 will be released in early 2021.
