Rumors about a new Apple TV have been documented for months. Now there is a new report that supports previous information.
Rumors about the sixth generation of Apple TV have been persistent for a long time. Clues in the tvOS 14 code have fueled the whole thing. Now Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman has addressed the topic again in his newsletter "Fully Charged" and given details. According to him, Apple plans to introduce a brand new Apple TV with a focus on gaming and an updated remote control sometime next year. A new processor will also be used. Gurman has already hinted that Apple is working on a new remote control with "Find My"-like capabilities. These should help find it if it has been misplaced. As part of the gaming focus, there were also rumors that Apple could introduce a dedicated gaming controller for the new Apple TV. However, its design remains unclear.
Apple TV 6: Will console-quality games be available?
Earlier this year, anonymous Twitter account “Fudge” suggested that Apple had developed prototypes of new Apple TV models with variants of the A12 and A14 chips for faster performance. If this information is correct, it remains to be seen whether there will end up being two new models. In addition, Fudge stated that Apple will be able to run games in console quality for Apple Arcade. However, these are not compatible with the current Apple TV models compatible. According to his information, these games are comparable to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, among others. There are also rumors that the new model will have 64 GB or 128 GB. It remains to be seen whether the rumor mill will be right in the end. However, the fact is that several independent sources have already reported the same details. (Photo by hadrian / Bigstockphoto)
