Rumors about brand new iMac models with Apple Silicon processors have been circulating for some time. Now a leaker has spoken out and explained that the display will be a lot bigger than expected.
Apple currently sells iMacs in two sizes, a 21.5-inch and a 27-inch model. Leaker l0vetodream has now indicatedthat the upcoming iMac will feature a brand new design and a display that is Apple's largest yet, exceeding 27 inches. Is Apple planning to match the Apple Pro Display XDR and introduce a 32-inch all-in-one device? The new iMac is expected to have a completely new design. The chassis was last redesigned in 2012. In fact, the new iMac is expected to take its cue from the aesthetics of the 2018 iPad Pro, with reduced bezels and flatter sides. In January, Bloomberg stated that the iMac will look similar to the Pro Display XDR.
New iMac with next-generation Apple Silicon chip
Originally, it was claimed several times that the new device would be 24 inches and replace the 21.5-inch model. Today's tweet from l0vetodream, however, suggests that the iMac could get an even larger screen. Of course, it is also possible that Apple will present two models in different sizes - even though so far only one version has been mentioned. In addition to a new design, the new iMac series is expected to hit the market sometime in the next few months and will be equipped with a next-generation Apple Silicon chip. So the whole thing should definitely remain exciting. (Photo by hadrian / Bigstockphoto)
