Will the iPhone SE 2 ever get a successor? If so, what will the device look like and what specifications can we expect? Over the last few months there have been repeated rumors that Apple is planning a 4.7-inch iPhone, but so far nothing of the sort has been announced. That is set to change in 2020.
Apple will introduce three new iPhone models next week, but there will be nothing attractive for iPhone SE fans. Why? Because the smallest device will have a 5.8-inch screen and will cost over 1,000 euros. iPhone SE fans are known to prefer a smaller and much cheaper device to the current iPhone lineup. Now Apple is actually planning such a device - at least that is what the Nikkei Asian Review claims. According to the report, Apple is supposed to introduce an iPhone SE successor with a 4.7-inch display in spring 2020. The report coincides with an article published at the beginning of the year by Economic Daily News - they had similar news at the time. (Apfelpatient has reported)
"Should be based on iPhone 8"
The iPhone SE successor would have an LCD screen to keep the price as low as possible. However, an A13 processor could be accommodated inside the device. It is unclear whether the inexpensive iPhone model in Spee will have Touch ID or Face ID. Since the rumors so far point towards an updated iPhone 8, it can be assumed that Apple will use Touch ID - this would also enable a base price of around 400 US dollars.
Because rumors about a real entry-level iPhone keep cropping up, it can be assumed that Apple could actually surprise us with a fourth iPhone model next year - but information about the price and features should still be treated with caution at the moment. (Photo by George D. / Bigstockphoto)
