After numerous rumors, Binyamin Goldman has now also spoken out. The usually well-informed blogger has interesting details about prices and specifications of upcoming products.
iPad Pro with 4 GB RAM
The iPad Pro devices are to be 12.9” and 11” in size. Both will for the first time dispense with Touch ID and be equipped with Face ID. Although the iPad Pro will only have a very narrow edge, there will be no notch for the TrueDepth camera. This is made possible by the new LCD of the upcoming iPad model. In addition, facial recognition will also work in landscape format. A USB-C port will also be installed, which will enable video output in 4K HDR to an external monitor. The new A12X processor with a whopping 4 GB of RAM will form the heart of the new tablet.
MacBook Air?
The new notebook will be very similar to the current MacBook Air but will have a narrower display bezel. The device will have a 13.3" Retina screen and will be available for purchase starting at $899 - according to Goldman. It will also have USB-C ports. In addition, an i-series processor will be installed for the first time.
According to Goldman's source, it is also possible that Apple will offer an LTE version of the device for an additional charge. Apple is said to have already tested the device in question with a SIM card slot. The MacBook will be available in various colors.
Mac mini expandable?
The iCompany also seems to want to give the Mac mini an update at the same time - this is what the blogger reports. The device was first introduced in 2005 and was last updated by Apple in 2014. According to Goldman, the Mac mini has been given a completely new design, which should also allow for easy upgrades of the internal components later. This means that the device can be purchased for as little as 599 US dollars.
