The annual September keynote was held and was disappointing for many fans. Apple introduced the new iPhone generation. For the first time in history, an iPhone had a 6.5" display diagonal. A new Apple Watch also saw the light of day.
The highlight of the show was the Apple Watch Series 4. The smartwatch has undergone a redesign. In addition to a larger display, the popular watch has new sensors, and they are impressive. The new generation of the Apple Watch can take an ECG and detect cardiac arrhythmias.
Important products without signs of life
But where is AirPower? What happened to the AirPods 2? Even the promised charging case for the first generation of AirPods, which enables wireless charging, is still missing. Many fans have been waiting for Apple's Qi charging mat - in vain.
In recent months, there have been not only rumors but also leaks and statements from suppliers about upcoming products. These include a new generation of the iPad Pro, equipped for the first time with Face ID, a revised entry-level MacBook or MacBook Air, AirPods 2 and AirPower - there was even talk of a new Apple Pencil and Apple TV. The Mac mini and iMac were also neglected. An update should at least be made to the former soon, as rumors have already suggested.
October Keynote
So far, there is no trace of these products. Back in August, voices were already being raised predicting another keynote in October. A look into the past supports this assumption. After yesterday's event, this suspicion has been confirmed. Of course, Apple has not commented on this. So everything remains open.
